1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Project0 Cybersecurity website or engaging our consulting services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our website or services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Project0 Cybersecurity ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Services Provided
We provide cybersecurity consulting services including, but not limited to:
- Penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Security Operations Center (SOC) design and implementation
- Data loss prevention (DLP) program development
- IoT and application security testing
- AI-powered security automation and integration
- Security compliance consulting
All services are delivered under separate engagement agreements (Statements of Work) that specify scope, deliverables, timelines, and compensation.
3. Engagement Authorization
All security testing and assessment activities are performed only with explicit written authorization from the client. You represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to authorize any security testing on the systems and networks included in the engagement scope. Unauthorized access to systems is a violation of applicable law, and we will not perform testing without proper authorization documentation.
4. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about systems, networks, and assets within the engagement scope
- Ensure proper authorization for all testing activities, including notification to relevant third parties (e.g., cloud providers, hosting companies)
- Maintain appropriate backups of systems and data before testing begins
- Designate a point of contact available during active testing windows
- Review and respond to deliverables and findings in a timely manner
5. Confidentiality
We treat all client information, engagement data, and assessment findings as strictly confidential. We will not disclose any information obtained during an engagement to third parties without your explicit written consent, unless required by law. Our team members are bound by confidentiality agreements, and all engagement data is handled according to industry best practices for secure data management.
6. Intellectual Property
All methodologies, tools, frameworks, and proprietary processes used during engagements remain the intellectual property of Project0 Cybersecurity. Deliverables produced during an engagement, including reports, findings, and recommendations, are owned by the client upon full payment. We reserve the right to use anonymized, aggregated data for research and improving our service offerings.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our services are provided "as is" and we do not guarantee that all vulnerabilities will be discovered during an assessment.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services or any findings contained in our reports.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from an engagement shall not exceed the fees paid for that specific engagement.
- We are not responsible for any damages resulting from the client's failure to implement recommended remediation measures.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project0 Cybersecurity, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our services, or failure to obtain proper authorization for testing activities.
9. Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in each engagement's Statement of Work. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 30 days of issuance. Late payments may incur interest at 1.5% per month. We reserve the right to suspend services for overdue accounts exceeding 60 days.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with 30 days written notice, unless otherwise specified in the Statement of Work. In the event of termination, the client is responsible for payment of all services rendered through the termination date. We will deliver all completed work product upon receipt of final payment.
11. Website Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website or its related systems
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or collect data from the website without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the website's functionality or infrastructure
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
